The QEMU project published 11.1.0 on 11 August 2026 (qemu.org).

Documented highlights:

  • UFS emulation: Write Booster and Host-Initiated Defragmentation from the UFS 4.1 spec
  • Arm: many new CPU features, imx8mp-evk machine, cache topology on virt; HVF nested virt and vGIC
  • RISC-V: big-endian, Zvfbfa and other extensions, K230 board
  • user-mode: preadv2/pwritev2, more /proc/cpuinfo, fsmount syscalls (helps systemd in usermode)
