QEMU 11.1.0 adds UFS 4.1 tricks and more Arm/RISC-V
QEMU 11.1.0 was released on 11 August 2026: UFS Write Booster and host-initiated defrag emulation, more Arm and RISC-V ISA bits, and user-mode syscall work.
The QEMU project published 11.1.0 on 11 August 2026 (qemu.org).
Documented highlights:
- UFS emulation: Write Booster and Host-Initiated Defragmentation from the UFS 4.1 spec
- Arm: many new CPU features,
imx8mp-evkmachine, cache topology onvirt; HVF nested virt and vGIC - RISC-V: big-endian, Zvfbfa and other extensions, K230 board
- user-mode:
preadv2/pwritev2, more/proc/cpuinfo, fsmount syscalls (helps systemd in usermode)
